Esteban Pelayo has 20 years of experience as expert in innovation management and international cooperation projects Since September 2015, he is the CEO of Eurada, the European Association of Development Agencies. In Eurada he promotes the exchange of experiences among practitioners of regional economic development and the execution of common projects to test new ideas. From 2011 to 2015, Esteban worked in the Office of the Region of Murcia in Brussels supporting the participation of regional private and public entities in EU initiatives. Prior to that, he worked from 2000 to 2011, in the Development Agency of the Region of Murcia in Spain. He was the coordinator of the technology center network and responsible of the regional advisory center for intellectual property rights. Earlier in his career, Esteban worked from 1996 to 2000 in the liaison office of the University of Alicante in international technology transfer.
Esteban Pelayo has a wide experience providing innovation mentoring services to companies in a wide range of industries. He is a specialist in international projects providing advice about how to participate in EU initiatives and programmes. In this moment, he is promoting cross-regional cooperation projects as head of the European Association of Development Agencies (Eurada). In the recent past, as expert in one of the agencies, he promoted the participation of SMEs in industrial modernization projects stimulating the participation in COSME and H2020 programmes.
