Short description
I am professor and PhD Adviser in Microbiology at the Department of Crop Production, at Faculty of Agriculture, UASMV Cluj-Napoca. My areas of expertise are microbiology, grassland and forage crops, microbial ecology, enzymology, environmental ethics, project management. Together with my research group I have published 13 scientific books, 5 university textbooks more than 200 articles in international journals. Apart from my main scientific interests, I have a passion for technology and gadgets. Consequently, I have tried to integrate them in our research themes with the aim of providing easy-to-use digital instruments for farmers.

Achievements:
Principal investigator and team member in projects related to the theme of the digitization of agriculture:
-> Grant nr.2362/26.02.2014 – Supporting research and scientific development in agriculture and environmental protection by developing modern technologies for the application of mineral fertilizers aiming at the preservation of environmental quality and yield growth
-> Grant nr.6324/28.05.2014 – Mobile apps to determine the dose and type of fertilizer
-> World Bank Project, Modernization of Information and Knowledge System in Agriculture II – MAKIS II
